I earned a master's degree in Romance Languages and Literatures from Notre Dame University in 2012. While there, I was a graduate instructor. My MA thesis was about South America's political art during times of military dictatorship. I did some language training in the country of Brazil and went to Chile for my fieldwork.Before I went to Notre Dame, I was a teacher and language specialist for three years. I taught prep for the SAT I and II, ACT, PSAT, and TOEFL exams, as well as English as a Second Language. With the College Football Hall of Fame and the National Football Foundation, I also designed a program at the Leading Edge Learning Center in Southern California, to prepare athletes for the SAT exam. As a result of this program, they were able to go to some of the best colleges in the country. During my work as an instructor at the graduate level, I did work with athletes and undergraduates, using what I learned as a teacher before my time at Notre Dame.For the past four years, my work has been to operate two small language firms as a language specialist in Brazil.My communication skills and work ethic have been developed through my experiences with students, professors, parents, and high profile clients. My communication skills and work ethic are a benefit to any academic community. My experience has turned me into an orator with command of three languages, a critical reader, and a good writer. I can also help compose and revise grant proposals, academic articles, correspondence, newsletters, and more.
